2001. Paper, paint, pencil. Dimensions various sizes from 150mm x 100mm to 600mm x 300mm

Works made during a four month arts residency between Arts Tasmania and National Parks Tasmania.

Maria Island is a national park off the east coast of Tasmania. It was also a penal colony in the early 19th century.

The works reflected on found objects and architectural relics on the island.

Further works included soundscape recordings and collaboration with composer James Gordon Anderson with a focus on the boundaries of the island and containment.
